Last Month's Beauty Boxes: looking back on June 2012

It's time again to have a little look back on my Beauty Box subscriptions for last month, and see how they fared in the longer term. So here are June's boxes. As always, click on the heading to see the original review.

Lust Have It
Lon Vitalite 24K Active Golden Yulan Oil Facial Mask and Full Eye Mask - I haven't used these yet, but only because I'm waiting for a special occasion. I'm really looking forward to it!
Batiste Dry Shampoo in Blush - I'll be using this once my full-size dry shampoo is used up.
Bloom Shade & Line 3-in-1 in Times Square - I've used this once and found it really lovely. The eyeliner doesn't drag, and it matches well with the eyeshadow. I'm not used to using such dark colours though, so I need to find a time to experiment with them when I'm not rushing to get ready for work.
Marc Jacobs Lola - I wore this to work one day and I did like the scent, though not so much as the Chloe.
Chloe L'Eau de Chloe - I wore this to a birthday party and I found it just divine. I'm seriously coveting the full size, but it's so expensive1 *sigh*

Bella Box
Benefit Porefessional Pro Balm - I'll probably get around to using this at some point, but I was so impressed by the performance of the Mirenesse primer I have, that I'll probably reach for that in preference in most cases.

Benefit Total Moisture Face Cream - this went into my queue of face creams to use. Seeing as it doesn't have sun protection, I'll be using it as a night cream.

Pure Fiji Coconut Milk and Honey Body Butter - I was going to put this away in the cupboard, but when I smelled it ... oh! I couldn't resist. It's divine. I've nearly finished it already and I'm seriously considering purchasing the full-size.

Sally Hansen Colour Quick Chrome Fast-Dry Nail Colour in Red Chrome - I still haven't tried this out. The colour isn't really 'me', and I'll probably only use it on my toes, if at all.

Be In Awe Vimala Gentle Cleanser and Be In Awe Shaanta Night Balm - I'm intrigued by these but haven't tried them yet. Stay tuned for a possible review in future, though.

Fan Di Fendi Fragrance - The single-use sachet format of this perfume really puts me off. What if I decide to wear it on a special occasion, but when I rip the sachet open, it turns out to be inappropriate for the occasion? Or I just hate it? Having only the one chance to use it really makes me hesitate.

Bonus: Olea Olive Leaf Drops - I had a cold when I received the box, so these got used up straight away! They were delicious and I was seriously tempted to buy more, if they weren't quite so expensive. I wouldn't mind trying some other olive leaf products from the range, though.

Beauty Basket
Lalisse Moisture Rich Facial Cleanser - This seems like a pretty standard cleanser, so I've put it in the queue for when I've used up all my other cleansers.

DB Cosmetics Kohl Eye Pencil with Sharpener in Black - I'm not really a black makeup kind of girl, so I've put this in my 'products I'll probably never use' box. I suppose black was a safe choice, but I tend not to like what the majority likes when it comes to colours, etc.

Avon Anew Genics Eye Treatment - The fact that it comes in an unhygenic pot really puts me off this product, and stops me from taking it seriously. I'll probably use it as an all-over face night cream once all my others are used up.

Avon Arabian Glow Bronzing Pearls - this is really a summertime product, so I've put it away for now. It was a little disappointing feeling like I can't use a product straight away.

Bonne Bell Moisture Repair SPF 15 Lip Balm - I'll use this once I've finished my Carmex SPF lip balm, but I'm not particularly excited by it.

Last Month's Beauty Boxes: Looking Back on May 2012

Hello! I'm sick at the moment, so I'm not really in the mood for writing a long post, but I noticed that I was due for my monthly review of last month's beauty boxes. There were only 2 last month, so I think I can cope with some short comments on them. As always, click on the heading to see the original box review.

Lust Have It
ModelCo Shine Ultra Lipgloss in Showgirl Red - I love this lipgloss. It went straight into my makeup basket and I've been using it semi-regularly for special occasions and when I want to feel more glam.

Evo The Therapist Calming Shampoo and Calming Conditioner - I haven't used these yet, but I definitely will. I'm trying to use up some of my smaller samples first.

Bioderma Crealine H20 Makeup Remover - I'm going to use up my current makeup remover before I use this, but it's definitely in the queue.

Calvin Klein Sheer Beauty Perfume - the scent isn't as interesting as the DKNY perfume I got the month before, so I put it away for now.

Lush Soap in Lust - went in my soaps bag in the bathroom and I'll use it after I've finished up my hotel guest soaps (I like to take advantage of the hospitality whenever I'm on holidays!).

Caron Laboratories Bump eRaiser Medi Paste - I never get ingrown hairs, so this went in my box of products I'll probably never use.

Nicole by OPI Ultimate Trendsetters Nail Lacquer in {shade name not given} - I liked this nail polish, and though I haven't used it yet, I'm planning to soon.

Bella Box
Avene Eau Thermale Ystheal Emulsion Moisturiser AND Eluage Eye Contour Cream - these went in my sample bag and I'll use them in due course. I'm not really raring to go with them though, I have to admit.

A'kin Rose & Geranium Pure Creamy Cleanser & Toner in One - this is in my queue to use after my current cleanser, and - I can't wait!

Bobbi Brown Extreme Lengthening Mascara - again, it's in my queue to use when my current Bobbi Brown mascara goes manky.

Silk Oil of Morocco Lip Gloss in Moroccan Ruby - aside from swatching when I first got it, I haven't looked at this again. It's an unfortunate coincidence, but it's just too similar to the Model Co lip gloss I got in my other box.

Sebastian Professional Volupt Shampoo, Volupt Conditioner and Potion 9 Wearable-Styling Treatment - I use these eventually, but I have to confess I'm not really excited about it: when it comes to hair (and I have a lot of it!) the sample sachets are a bit too small to get a good idea of what a product is like.

Last Month's Beauty Boxes: Looking Back on April 2012

(Click on headings to see original reviews)

Lust Have It
I Nuovi Professional Glitterati - I really can't see myself using gold glitter makeup. I'm just not that kind of person. I don't think I'd even wear gold glitter on my nails (as the alternative uses suggests). I'll probably end up giving this away.
emerginC Phytocell Moisturiser and Kombucha Cleanser - I haven't had a chance to start using these yet, but I'm looking forward to it.
De Lorenzo Elements Ocean Mist Sea Salt Styling Spray - I've only used this once so far, but I loved the effects and I'm sure I'll use it again next time I go to a fancy doo. SAME DAY TRIAL!
True Solutions All Day Tinted Moisturising Cream SPF 30+ - I've been using this regularly, alternating with my SunSense tinted SPF moisturiser. I don't really like the formula all that much though, it's too thick. SAME DAY TRIAL!
Spa Fresh Blends Romantic Discovery Bath Salts - I haven't had a chance to use this yet. I don't take baths as often as I used to, I'm more of a shower girl now (only because the bathtub in our current rental sucks!).

I Love This Box
Avado Sensitives Certified Organic Gel Exfoliant - I haven't used this yet, but I will once my current exfoliant is used up.
Chikii Natural Salon Quality Mineral Cosmetics Blush or Bronzer - I'm not sure what to do with this little plastic baggie of powder. Maybe I'll try mixing it into some moisturiser and seeing if it works as a highlighter?
haf Mineral Makeup Australia Eyeshadow in Mocha - I've put this with my other eyeshadows, but I've never really used powder shadows before. I haven't given up on it yet though; one day when I have the time to experiment with new makeups.
Maybelline Color Sensational Lipcolour in Red Revival - I haven't used this and I don't think I will. I very rarely wear lipsticks, and this colour is too bold for me.
Just D'Lish Soy Wax Candle in Pina Colada - It's on my coffee table but I haven't lit it yet.

Bella Box
Comvita Brightening Facial Exfoliant; Facial Serum; Moisturiser - I'm looking forward to trying these out one day soon.
Ulta3 Nail Polish in Cocoa - I haven't tried this yet, but I will once my nails have stopped peeling, darrrnit!
Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Liquid Foundation - I used this a couple of times, but the colour was too dark for my skin. I did like the coverage and smooth look it gave me though, so I've put it away and will try it again in summer, when having a slightly darker skin tone is more socially acceptable!
Pure DKNY Verbena Eau de Parfum - I've worn this to work and casual occasions a few times. I like it.
OP Therapy Summer Glow Pineapple & Papaya Sea Salt Scrub - This exfoliant is on my list to use next once my current one is used up.
Hollywood Feet Velvet Cushions - (bonus product) One day I've got to get to, and actually put these in my shoes!

Last Month's Beauty Boxes: Looking Back on March 2012

Hi all! This is a new feature where I look back on my beauty boxes for the previous month and see whether I really did use the products in them. Previously I would edit my old posts and make notes on what I thought of the products, but I became dissatisfied with this way of doing it. I mean, aside from the blogger who wrote them, who goes back and reads old blog posts anyway? シ

So here we go with the March 2012 boxes (click on headings to see original reviews):

Lust Have It
Davroe Moisture Senses Argan Oil - haven't opened this yet, but very much looking forward to using it once I've finished my Garnier Smooth n Shine Serum (I'm phasing out Garner products due to their animal testing status).
Karpati DITO nail lacquer in Midnight Romance - used this on my toenails. Normally polish on my toenails lasts a couple of weeks, but this started to chip after only a few days. Unfortunately seems to be quite bad quality.
1Skin Solutions Lip Balm in Vanilla - in my lipbalm stash and next in the queue!
Kosmea Replenishing Moisture Cream - haven't opened this yet, but I just adored the exfoliant so very much looking forward to using it once my Jurlique Night Cream is finished. P.S. I was excited to see Kosmea products at Priceline and Chemist Warehouse recently!
Mirenesse Pearl Crush Creaseless Eyeshadow in Tahitian Pearls - love, love, love this! I use it all the time. The shadow is extremely pigmented and stays on all day.

I Love This Box
Essie Nail Polish 'Carry On' Autumn Collection in Lady Like - have only used this once, soon after I got it, but I adore it and will definitely use again. It was very long-wearing.
Maybelline New York XXL Pro Curl Mascara - have not opened yet, but will use when my current Maybelline mascara goes manky.
Sunsilk Co-Creations Frizz & Weather Defence, Weather Protection & Shine Serum - haven't opened yet. I've received a lot of hair products lately, so I'm not sure when I'll get around to it.
Thalgo Soft Hydrating Emulsion - I've been using this regularly. I like the sea salt smell and it makes my skin soft.
Glitter Puff Wand - not a product that you use, really. It's currently decorating my makeup station.

Thalgo range.

GlossyBox
Proactiv Cleansing Body Bar - Husband and I both used this bar, but after only a few days, we threw it away because it was giving us pimples and his back became very oily.
Eau Thermale Avene Thermal Spring Water - put this aside, may or may not use it. I do use a facial spritzer at work, but it has calming essential oils in it. This has nothing. Hm.
Nougat London Tuberose & Jasmine Nurturing Hand Cream - currently using. However, it sets off my eczema. (I'm bad like that: I'd rather use something up than throw it away, even if it's bad for my eczema.)
KMS California Free Shape Hot Flex Spray - currently using. I occasionally need to straighten my fringe, so I use it then.
Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Cream - currently using. Love the smell (very similar to Jurlique's exfoliating cream, actually) and makes my skin smooth. Not sure if it truly cleanses well, though.
